hi, i'm working on project aiming build midi controller. want controller have between 30 , 45 (analog) knobs , 20 pushbuttons (digital). i'm using arduino uno. can see, i'm going need use multiplexers, otherwise number of analog inputs way low. since don't have experience multiplexers, thought idea ask advice  when searching on web, came across this: http://mayhewlabs.com/products/arduino-mux-shield and this: http://www.arduino.cc/playground/learning/4051 i think first 1 work, it's pretty expensive , needs shipped europe (long waiting time.. ) futhermore, suspect coding of 1 not easy. if use of second one, need wire of since 1 4051 not going job.. i think there lot more of these things on market, don't know start looking. any advice on kind of multiplexer me use? thanks in advance,, Arduino Forum > Using Arduino > LEDs and Multiplexing ...

hi all, i have been playing around idea of having basic board 7805, 16 mhz crystal, atmega chip , pin headers outputs/inputs , ftdi cable connection. can please verify schematic would, infact work? i beginner in electronics, please gentle thanks in advance. ps:used atmega8 on schematic, believe has same pinout 168 , 328. if jp1 ftdi header, i'd connect pin 2 ground well. believe rx , tx crossed. 100nf capacitor should go between jp1 pin 6 , atmega pin1. maybe reset button pin 1 gnd. connect 10k resistor atmega pin 1 +5v. connect avcc +5v. connect 100nf ceramic capacitor aref gnd. connect 100nf ceramic gnd either pin 7 or pin 20 on atmega. people might use 1 on each pin, i've found 1 sufficient. i add 100nf ceramics in parallel electrolytics on input , output of regulator. kinda chicken soup, can't hurt. i'd avoid diagonal lines on schematic, makes hard read. also, signals should connected don't have dots meet, not sure if that...

hello, followed instructions in ubuntu beginners guide import screen configuration manufacturer disk. used: gksudo displayconfig-gtk , imported *.inf file monitor disk (samsung syncmaster t220) selected model (samsung -> etc.) in displayconfig-gtk. after reboot, no longer set screen full resolution (1680x1050). when tried redefine model generic -> plug , play allow me use ridiculously low resolutions. since installation configuration had been generic -> plug'n play , worked great, correct resolution , everything, until now. how can restore previous configuration? r. the solution embarrassingly easy. suggested in commented out text in /etc/x11/xorg.conf, ran: sudo dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg logged out, logged on, , order restored. thanks, ca. ciao tutti, mi chiamo samuele e sono al terzo anno d'itis. studio elettronica e mi sono appassionato da qualche mese al mondo arduino. purtroppo nella mia scuola arduino non è molto conosciuto ma mi sto impegnando per pubblicizzarlo un po' javascript:void(0); vengo al dunque:  da quando ho installato l'ide 1.0 non faccio altro che avere problemi durante la compilazione, ovvero compilando o inviando alla mia scheda lo sketch appena scritto, l'ide va in crash (durante la compilazione) e mi appare la classica finestra di errore di windows che mi dice che avr-gcc.exe ha smesso di funzionare e che l'applicazione verrà chiusa. cliccando successivamente sul tasto "non inviare", mi appare nell'ide il messaggio "error compiling". riprovando ricompilare lo sketch riottengo lo stesso errore. ho isolato il problema e sono riuscito capire che tale errore è provocato dall'inserimento delle librerie sd e wire. ovvero ogni qualvolta ...

i had been making flash , had background music set on event. everytime tested fine, friend said audio go out of sync on system. found had change music layer event stream. has seemed make worse, frames out of sync , can't figure out. music 28 frames off animation further on gets 70. longer goes more out of sync gets. music isnt playing faster , frame rate has been 12fps. it's boggling mind. how long audio? know when set sync stream flash skip keyframes needed in order keep audio. have never created flash document low 12 fps, @ 30 fps, keyframes still skipped in order keep audio. it's best (if can) split audio chunks. when set sync event , play on local machine (whether play animation while viewing timeline or if publish it), more have better syncing, when computer has load audio sync stream (and depending on connection speed , computer processor speed), each computer may see/hear different results. so goes - how long audio? comprei um lcd gráfico que o vendedor "diz ser" o datasheet st7920, porém estou com muito dificuldade. ele é 128x64 e cheguei ligá-lo como lcd normal, 16x2. chegou aparecer informações no display, porém logo ele começa aparecer caracteres malucos e não tenho controle sobre o tamanho da fonte, o posicionamento, sem contar que ele fica com duas linhas e oito colunas. estudei o glcd, porém não consigo ligar o display no arduino. eu pegos os códigos de exemplo, ligo os pinos lcd gráfico no arduino, porém ao alimentar o display só liga, mas não aparece nada. não tenho tanto conhecimento na área e estou apanhando com dúvidas sobre pinagens. todo o material que achei não fica claro, pelo menos pra mim, de como funcionar. sei que é dificil, mas será que alguém teria como me dar uma força de alguma forma?!?!? muito obrigado. abraços boas camarada, tens aqui um bom exemplo de teste: http://mikenz.geek.nz/blog/1006/mindkits-128x64-graphic-lcd-and-arduino/ ...

so, i'm trying play nes version of elite via retropie , have come problem. although pal rom, runs glitchy ntsc version.
