i have dell inspiron notebook, on installed latest ubuntu. a while ago bought edimax ew-7811un wireless dongle raspberry pi. while worked fine though use (most of time connect raspi internet via ethernet port). however, when tried use today didn't connect wifi network. tried use wpa_gui configure wifi adapter adapter wasn't listed. can this? type dmesg command prompt. have wireless dongle? raspberrypi

i trying tightvncserver running on pi. after executing commands got messages vnc running on 0, if dont need file, remove , on. (i dont remember exact phrase). beacause of removed files root access, , others similar them in same folder (x0, x1, ... etc). after reboot, login page comes , each time try login, page comes again , cant access os. pi working fine before that. mean installed raspbian os crashed? there way surive? ok , im trying determine cutoff point 12v battery (automotive) . im going use arduino shut off relays nothing else draw current untill system charged enough solar panels again. many web sites kinda vague. they tell me dead battery 10.5v .thats not helpful, battery take damage @ kinda discharge. so anyway thoughts/suggestions appreciated 12.8 100%, id 12.2 pretty low, 11.8 should kill power think that's 10-15% left , lower bad, assuming deep cycle battery, if regular auto battery(designed more cranking amps) may not wanna go below 12.2 Arduino Forum > Using Arduino > General Electronics > Battery Voltage [solved] arduino

i setup raspberry pi automatically load gui after bootup. did adding "startx" /etc/rc.local file. created autostart file in ~/.config/autostart run slideshow script. works great, except slideshow doesn't appear on monitor have hooked raspberry pi. see when log pi via tightvncviewer on display :1. why defaulting display instance , not monitor, assume display :0? thanks... i wondering, automatically start vnc server on pi @ boot time? if might find it’ll work expected if don’t start vnc server until after you’ve started slide show process. raspberrypi

hi all i'm working on converting our community joomla site.  i've set load of sections , categories.  they're published, public access, , visible when viewing front end.  they're there when posting end. however, when log in test user (group: author) , click 'submit news' create article, there no categories in drop-down list.  wysiwyg editor there , can use it, of course can't save without giving category. what's going wrong , how can fix it? if wants check mean, development site here:  http://216.194.115.14/joomla/index.php.&nbsp; can log in username: test, password: test.  sorry site mess... construction, y'know.  (on more minor note, idea why wysiwyg default centred text?  template?) many can offer. you can't see categories in 'submit news' because don't have published categories in section news.
