Application starts in the wrong Xwindow session - Raspberry Pi Forums

i setup raspberry pi automatically load gui after bootup. did adding "startx" /etc/rc.local file. created autostart file in ~/.config/autostart run slideshow script. works great, except slideshow doesn't appear on monitor have hooked raspberry pi. see when log pi via tightvncviewer on display :1. why defaulting display instance , not monitor, assume display :0?

i wondering, automatically start vnc server on pi @ boot time?
if might find it’ll work expected if don’t start vnc server until after you’ve started slide show process.
