Detect someone in front of a computer using the smallest available sensor.

hello,

i'm trying create first project using tiny arduino still don't know how going accomplish that...

i need able detect person in front of computer. pir out of question because need able detect person long keeps in front of computer.  though of using parallax's ping big project.


so i'm not sure of how going i'm asking you: smallest sensor can use detect in front of computer? size of 10 cents coin (euros) nice.

for of don't use euro, 10 cent coins 19.75mm in diameter, according wikipedia.

Crossfader Arduino Tutorial

hello i'm super newb please don't bash me much. i'm using led's , i've connected them correctly (finally) , wondering why program here ( http://www.arduino.cc/en/tutorial/colorcrossfader ) doesn't work? say's haven't declared crossfade. read directions on top , said crossfade needs used list order of colors. isn't declared in main part (void loop() )? or need declared before? nevermind void on bottom , needed before voidloop. lol anyways playing rgb led's wondering if has specific way of making them fade in , out different colors?
