hi all, does have experience or advice on insulating arduino nano? putting nano metal cup, along other components, , main issue not shorting connections. have put paper tape everywhere, not reliable sharp points of connections can poke through tape (for instance, header pins sticking out of top of nano) - lost 1 nano already. maybe there kind of resin available insulate these pins? or solution? thanks! i have potted projects silicone caulk or 2 part epoxy. epoxy makes impossible de-pot caulk peel off if you're careful. make little box , fill halfway caulk , press component , cover top more caulk. can take couple of days dry though... i've never done ic projects may want make sure material use isn't conductive or start wrapping board electrical tape or before potting. hello! i've had uno r3 couple of weeks. going fine , think accidentally sent 12v wrong pin(s). so i've spent few hours trying figure out part broken , whether board salvageable. it's pretty clear me need beneficent forum. btw, first post some data points: when plug board in mac, usb device appears the green "on" led comes on. orange l1 led comes on (the 1 on digital out 13). the reset button has no effect the orange led doesn't behave way used to. on power-on stays steady rather flashing little while before remaining steady. i can't upload sketches. get: "avrdude: stk500_recv(): programmer not responding" i can use serial monitor send text uno , rx light flashes tx light doesn't flash i tried loopback test connecting pins 0 , 1 (tx & rx) , reset , gnd , powering on uno. text comes me expected. looks 16u2 working just sure, put 16u2 dfu mode , reflashed dfu-programmer (which had patch support atmega16u2) , went fine on chanc...

hi, got used uno friend, works him , running blink right now. when plugged in, windows didn't try install driver (maybe because have usb microcontroller driver installed (ti msp430)), , i'm not sure how set manually. there no change in device manager usb devices when plugging/unplugging uno. the com port entry showed com1 , lpt1. i tried install several drivers, unplugging , plugging uno between each install. first tried drivers package in arduino ide folder. then tried http://www.ftdichip.com/drivers/vcp.htm then tried http://www.ftdichip.com/drivers/d2xx.htm i had install uno r3 driver because uno driver available select. here screenshot of device manager: the devices warning sign "this device cannot start. bonjour à tous, je ne vais pas tarder à recevoir mon raspberry pi et je souhaite utiliser les ports gpio pour allumer/éteindre des composants nécessitant d'avantage de courant que ce que peuvent fournir les ports gpio. en effet, je souhaiterais pouvoir contrôler un moteur tout simple fonctionnant avec 6.0v et 400ma (sans utiliser de pwm et sans m'intéresser au sens de rotation) , et par la suite j'aimerais pouvoir allumer/éteindre la lampe de mon bureau. après quelques recherches sur internet j'ai vu que pour faire ce genre de choses il fallait utiliser un relais. or après quelques recherches j'ai compris que ces mêmes relais demandaient trop de puissance aux ports gpio, mais je ne suis pas parvenu trouver précisément quelles sont les limites en termes d'alimentation des ports gpio car beaucoup de valeurs se contredisent. il faut d’après ce que j'ai compris utiliser un transistor avant le relais, mais c'est trop compliqué pour moi je ne connais rien à l...

i tried posting on dell support page have not yet received response dell mini 9, contains broadcom bcm4312 802.11b/g (rev 01), connects work's hidden, wpa enterprise network slowly. while windows partition takes couple seconds connect, ubuntu takes on couple minutes. case in home network. think problem lies somewhere in gnome network manager. tried switching wicd , connect faster home network (within few seconds). unfortunately, cannot connect hidden wpa enterprise network @ job wicd. there setting can change in networkmanager allows faster connections wireless networks? alternatively, there network manager allow me both speed , accessibility hidden, secured network? i making site in english, russia arabic, spanish, hindi, chinese... i use joomfish it, installed different language , works fine most of it  static content, , when paste out of word in joomla shown ok. but translated languagepacks shows funny signs, (login page, next previous email friend....) i can see thing russian not other chinese , hindi other can not see things russian too has font coding? minha pi estava ligada fazia 3 meses ininterrupto, estava servindo de media server dlna e private cloud, ligada em uma fonte 5v 2a e em um no-break. tentei acessar e o ip não estava sendo resolvido quando fui ver ela estava apenas com o power led aceso os demais apagados. tentei fazer reboot, troquei o sd (testei uns 4 diferentes, inclusive instalando imagem na hora), troquei fonte, tentei acessar no terminal via serial, nada, simplesmente ela não dá sinal de vida, o led ok, o led da rede, nada tem vida. alguém já relatou problema parecido? tem como trazer ela de volta mundo dos mortos? o problema é que ela não dá nenhum sinal de vida = se já fizeste os testes costume única coisa que tens fazer é reclamar com loja que vendeu e enviá-lo para garantia... raspberrypi

at moment im having troubles wyciwyg editor. when log in administrator on frontpage , try edit item, wont see editor. on picture: no wyciwyg editor on frontpage but when log in through 'administrators control panel' , choose edit content item, see editor. i tried different users , did fresh install. did nog editor on frontpage. tinyeditor published , tried in simple , advanced mode. can me out here? ps. wat mean editor on frontpage: this site have wyciwyg editor on frontpage. try different editor? btw - have tried conduct searches in forum these topics , message says need narrow search terms though using 2 words.    bit maddening because rather search forum instead of post...but here goes: #1:  have content item when viewed on home page/frontpage shows intro text , main text of content item.  want show intro text , have gone through many gyrations , changes trying make happen without success. #2:  have added news feeds categories under components menu , have gone on add news feeds via "manage news feeds" in component section don't show anywhere , can't figure out how make them show up. #3:  there tutorial out there on manage content items?  have items showing in news flash , on home page don't want in place , have tried publish them elsewhere no avail. thanks much....
