hi... wanted try 1 of "minimal" images based of prasberian made 254 mb version how update files on sd card? not boot since not made 512 mb version... have external sd card reader. used reader flash card... there way this? q..... why there not official minimal image? sure there use it.. , assume there not need loaded 1 image i use standard image , have script remove stuff don't want. using third party image adds layer of complexity trouble shooting. raspberrypi

i having problems advanced option of behavier "set nav bar image" since ie7. hi all, i trying bootload atmega 328p-pu minimum configuration (without external clock) an arduino duemilanove according instructions under  "from arduino microcontroller on breadboard" i getting invalid device signature error message when try burn bootloader. read in forum "non-p" 328s need change signature in avrdude file , work both p , non-p series. although 328 p series , should work, thought worth try. however, did not solve problem , still gave me same error. has had problem or know of solution? suggestions appreciated. thanks in advance. huh, weird, can paste whole avrdude command & error? guys, need help. i want connect several arduinos cable. there 1 master , several slaves. distance between master , slave 30 meters. know can't use i2c, use serial (rx & tx) , rs485 communication (with max 485). also, slaves should read , write data master, , master should read data slaves, , should write data every slave. problem example want send data slave no. 2 don't want send slave no. 3. is possible send data master 1 of several slaves? in i2c use adress of device, can't rs485... right? how solve problem? you can define protocol includes header address , length.  slaves not addressed ignore remainder of message. hi all, have hostapd running on pi, works well, allows me connect hosted web page , control pi via ssh. installed sakis3g , able connect pi via hostapd on wifi , connect internet via 3g dongle. since installing sakis3g can no longer ping internet via pan connection if sakis3g isnt connected. has come across before? many thanks sorted it, because default route directed hostapd ipaddress. issueing command: route add default gw 192.168.0.1 gateway address router, works raspberrypi

i've been following adafruits tutorial wiering lcd in 4-bit mode: http://learn.adafruit.com/drive-a-16x2- ... i?view=all have 20x4 , 16x2 display. both hd44780 compatible. use similar setup tutorial -pi gpio cobbler connected breadboard display. when using 16x2 display in breadbord works fine. however, when plugging in 20x4 lcd same way wont display text properly. shows irregular pattern of faint vertical lines. lines 1px wide , 2 rows high. when recieves new text data lines change position. seems has @ least initialized , in way responding data input. displays have different pin-outs have adjusted that. other difference can think of resolution, i've tried running python script written 20x4 , no success. anyway shouldnt matter right? other things have tried: adjusted pot contrast, added resistor between anode pin , 5v, re-soldered pin headers, checked continuity, triple checked pinout , wireing. wrong here? timing issue? if display broken, can check in way? ok, i...

hi all, i've got uno r3 hooked arduinix shield in order build nixie display. arduinix takes few arduino outputs , allows them control separate 180v supply. when hook shield 1 of nixie tubes, runs great while, , ard quits sending output pins. salve tutti, avevo... ( funzionava fino ieri sera....) board aduino mega alimentato con un alimentatore da 9 v (misurati 8.3v) con display 20x4, una dozzina di sensori  di temperatura che comanda 8 relay 5v su 2 schede http://www.ebay.it/itm/ws/ebayisapi.dll?viewitem&item=260841119898#ht_1544wt_1185 alimentate da un secondo trasformatore da 5v. (solo gli 8 relay richiedono 560ma) avevo collegato in comune le due gnd (board arduino e relay) e tutto andava fino quando ho tolto alimentazione tutto per staccare una presa tripla di troppo che mi serviva. adesso dopo pochi minuti di funzionamento arduino si riavvia, volte compaiono anche dei caratteri caso sul display ho scoperto che se stacco l'alimentazione della board dei relay non ho malfunzionamenti. si è guastato l'alimentatore? può essere che il trasformatore "sporchi" la gnd e mandi in crisi arduino? ho controllato la tensione ed è di circa 4.5v come bene o male è sempre stata. è corretto collega...

i'm in need of 2 things... may change depending on if 1 or other created. first device: one takes serial data (rs232 @ 38400 baud) in 900 mhz radio.  acts wireless serial connection consider being connected garmin gps 16x hvs on other end. parses incoming nmea strings , sends via ethernet server pushes data out location tracking application.  i'm concerned how fast can handle exchange , required ram don't think standard atmega enough.  needs handle 300 bytes of data per unit. have 14 units hope of adding more. the other device again takes in serial data garmin connected directly garmin gps 16x hvs sends out via rs232 serial connection. (into may radio on other end)  need able handle data parsing difference have handle data single gps associated it. any ideas on this?  i'd create custom pcb both of these (to reduce cost , make connecting easier) i'm @ lost start on selecting required chips/controllers. quote...

so, i'm coding arduino mega 2560, modified few minor sections of code cleanup, , compiled code no longer upload unit. searching around, (and searching compiled code itself) find compiler has decided "nice" me , stick 3 !'s in row.  @ 115200 apparently dumps mega monitor avrdude cannot escape from, , system "hangs". now, clear, code not contain 3 !'s in row anywhere, , grep'ing through source trees , libraries has nothing that, in fact safe, went , pulled !'s strings. is there way (other starting scratch, or randomly modifying code) in can figure out code causing 3 !'s generated in row? if not, , i'm sol, *shrug* i'll have start randomly changing code.  hoping have upload written.  little annoyed shows in elf binary used generate hex dump load onto unit.... have preferred find out me somewhere... *grin* post problem code. if have it, can upload previous version successfully? wouldn...
