Device Signature - ATmega328P-PU

hi all,

i trying bootload atmega 328p-pu minimum configuration (without external clock) an arduino duemilanove according instructions under  "from arduino microcontroller on breadboard"

i getting invalid device signature error message when try burn bootloader. read in forum "non-p" 328s need change signature in avrdude file , work both p , non-p series. although 328 p series , should work, thought worth try. however, did not solve problem , still gave me same error.

has had problem or know of solution? suggestions appreciated.

huh, weird, can paste whole avrdude command & error?

Crossfader Arduino Tutorial

hello i'm super newb please don't bash me much. i'm using led's , i've connected them correctly (finally) , wondering why program here ( http://www.arduino.cc/en/tutorial/colorcrossfader ) doesn't work? say's haven't declared crossfade. read directions on top , said crossfade needs used list order of colors. isn't declared in main part (void loop() )? or need declared before? nevermind void on bottom , needed before voidloop. lol anyways playing rgb led's wondering if has specific way of making them fade in , out different colors?
