Thread: Installed 4GB of RAM- only 3GB in top

hello all, installed 2 2gb ddr2-800 modules (i had 2 1gb modules previously). bios , lshw both there's 4gb installed, top says there's 3gb of total memory. gives? i'm using integrated intel gma3100 graphics chipset, , i'm running 32-bit jaunty desktop. time. is total 3.0 gb or 3.7 or ? i can no longer use compiz cube. don't know why. have tried reinstalling compiz , rebooting computer, it's still problem. working fine before! are of compiz effects working? know update yesterday broke video driver , had uninstall , reinstall fix. may similar problem if experiencing other video related issues. issues with last post

hi, setting topic list forum, , want show when last post was. have table topics, , table responses. these tables linked together. on topic list page have query select * topics left outer join topic_messages on topics.id_topics=topic_messages.id_topics_messages however when output query repeating topics in relation how many many messages there have been specific top... the way have found display topics once remove join in query , have select * topics but means can no longer draw "last post" info messages table... any ideas of how round this???cheers read cfml reference manual. specifically, read cfoutput tag , it's group attribute. if don't have manual, google <cfoutput> More discussions in Advanced Techniques adobe

differenze prestazionali I2C e RS485

oggi cercavo infrormazioni relative al rs485, volevo sapere come è possibile implementarlo con l'arduino. bhe, più "semplice" del previsto. stando quanto ho letto non si fà altro che usare un adattatore di livelli da rs232 485. credevo fosse un bus, e invece no! la mia idea era di far comunicare alcune periferiche che volevo spargere per casa. ho trovato varia gente che lo fà, ma si è dovuta inventare un protocollo di sana pianta per creare delle dipendenze master-slave! non è impossibile tutto sommato. ma forse lo è prevedere tutto nella creazione del suddetto protocollo. di contro, di recente ho giocherellato con diverse periferiche i2c, e ho trovato questo sistema comodo, veloce ed efficacie! ho letto un po su wiki, dole lo definiscono appunto un sistema di comunicazione tra periferiche. ho dedotto quindi che non sia adatto percorrere lunghi tragitti in giro per casa, e probabilmente sia parecchio sensibile ai disturbi. non ho trovato una spiegazione o una co...

TVOut - Game - Columns

i posted in [using arduino :: displays ::] forum , suggested put in exhibition forum, i'm posting here also.  if i've done wrong way i'm sorry.  i saw tvout ( http://code.google.com/p/arduino-tvout/ ) library year ago , got hacking it. i decided recreate classic game columns has fell of tetris, isn't in columns 3 blocks fall vertically.  can move blocks left , right , rotate 3 blocks, top 1 goes middle, middle bottom , bottom top. the goal 3 in row, either vertically, horizontally or diagonally. then 3 pieces removed , blocks above fall down. the code still bit of mess, needs little bit of cleaning before make public (which will).  if want copy of rough, nasty typo comment filled code let me know , i'd happy send on. the controls 3 tactile button on breadboard, should work on 328 based arduino (needs 2k of sram display alone takes 1,440 bytes) i have done short video of working on youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k9v3uugrq3a ...
