Driving relays from GPIO - Raspberry Pi Forums
i looking control pumps/motors home brew setup , thought cool raspberry pi. relatively new electronics come here seeking , advice. had looked quite while , kept reading needed buy type of board prevent frying pi, can no longer find these posts.
research have done appears can buy solid state relay , control directly pi gpio without need of else. according 1 website though said start mechanical relays since solid state ones expensive , lot easier damage. hoping can shed light on issue me.
need control 4 relays @ given time. need capable of turning device on uses normal household current 110ac. inexpensive , easy hook (tutorials excellent!). have suggestions or advice?
