How worried should I be about not using a case? - Raspberry Pi Forums

hello,

got raspberry pi rev-b yesterday, hooked , installed raspian, going far (slightly surprised @ how slow browsing is, realize it's gpu issue).

@ moment, not have case , put r-pi on wooden desk. how worried have be? not have pets, nor carpets, think risk of static electricity small, raspberry pi sensitive enough should avoid touching it? plan use tv later (either retropi or xbmc), there higher risk of static electricity tv?

how dust? electronics tend collect quite bit of dust when running , assume issue when running without case... safe clean it?

might seem cheap worry instead of buying case 12 dollars or so, want know , i've seen lots of people in youtube videos have r-pi caseless me. assume give better aircooling if overclock it.

i've used pi's 2 years, without case no issues.

Crossfader Arduino Tutorial

hello i'm super newb please don't bash me much. i'm using led's , i've connected them correctly (finally) , wondering why program here ( http://www.arduino.cc/en/tutorial/colorcrossfader ) doesn't work? say's haven't declared crossfade. read directions on top , said crossfade needs used list order of colors. isn't declared in main part (void loop() )? or need declared before? nevermind void on bottom , needed before voidloop. lol anyways playing rgb led's wondering if has specific way of making them fade in , out different colors?
