[SOLVED] Installing Openbox on Arch for VNC - Raspberry Pi Forums

my main pi sd card won't boot trying things going on one, have not been able desktop or window manager appear in xorg server. background gray. did install openbox, starting gives various errors. there special need install openbox work standalong window manager, or have install lxde? guides find pi assume different distribution arch.

have working lxde/openbox on card not boot (power light on, no act light shows) , file systems clean fsck not boot, trying fresh install, ready give up.

obt-message: xkb extension not present on server or old
obt-message: xinerama extension not present
on server
obt-message: xrandr extension not present on server
openbox-message: window manager running on screen 0

there no gui stuff showing. openbox, server screen has changed white nothing else on it, access via vnc.

have these other packages installed openbox seems think not there....argh!!!

ah, well, there no guis , there no bottom panel, installing obconf seems have helped. if double-click on screen, brings menu. , applications start command line do, indeed, have little icon in upper left corner enable me close or move or resize them, rather having kill command line.

so, while there may more amenities available openbox, think have working enough. messages missing extensions not seem matter basic functionality.

there might way add wallpaper, not worth it, seems functional enough now.

Crossfader Arduino Tutorial

hello i'm super newb please don't bash me much. i'm using led's , i've connected them correctly (finally) , wondering why program here ( http://www.arduino.cc/en/tutorial/colorcrossfader ) doesn't work? say's haven't declared crossfade. read directions on top , said crossfade needs used list order of colors. isn't declared in main part (void loop() )? or need declared before? nevermind void on bottom , needed before voidloop. lol anyways playing rgb led's wondering if has specific way of making them fade in , out different colors?
