Camera stopped working for no reason - Raspberry Pi Forums

so received camera board earlier month having waited 2 months them come in stock, , after fitting camera, pleased worked first time, no problems! took 2 photos it, moved pi... didn't unplug camera, or pi, removed pi wall-mounting , put on desk while still plugged in , working. pi didn't flinch, ssh connection didn't break, no reboots, etc. when tried take photo again, failed, , hasn't worked since. i've replaced ribbon cable shorter aftermarket one, thought perhaps rather long stock cable had become damaged somehow whilst moving (the stock cable, many other people have discovered, stupidly folded in box during transit). however, camera still not work -- lights when pi boots, turns off normal, "raspistill -o image.jpg" reports camera not detected.

because i've took 2 photos it, know pi up-to-date, , i've checked "sunny" connector hundreds of times, seated correctly, ribbon cable. i'm @ loss now. have faulty camera board? i've emailed cpc relevant details return product, they've not got me return reference code can send -- i've had dealings cpc before , have i'm not particularly impressed communication skills... last time ignored first email, responded twice second, more annoyed email.

i'm using stock raspberry pi power supply, did have gertboard attached since removed because concerned perhaps power issue. i've used multimeter on tp1 , tp2, tp1 , f3 fuse, both report same voltage (4.7v), , i've tested tp1 , connections camera board (3.0v), camera getting power. got ideas?

hmm, red led on camera board light when pi boots, or when run raspistill? because should come on when run raspistill.

can rerun raspi-config , reenable camera?
