cfsearch and pdfs

i've indexed 2 documents in verity collection. coldfusion admin
confirms there 2 documents, when perform search
get 0 results back.

i tried simple search type:

<cfsearch type="simple" name="searchresult"
collection="#arguments.collectionname#" criteria="#arguments.criteria#" />

and no results back. have printed pdf , have tried using
any number of words appear in pdf, still 0 results.

so have tried explicit search type same result.

i have read page , nothing there have tried works:

any 1 have clue.

well i've discovered can cfsearch without criterias ,
returns documents. did , discovered pdfs
were in index, context field empty i'm guessing
means no found verity index. although pdf
opens fine.

anyway indexed pdf , 1 there.
