Tightnvc not showing on the hosts screen - Raspberry Pi Forums

hi, bought raspberry pi school work @ run message book replace paper based book sits in staffroom (also allows me have play pi , try , learn how use it) message board shown in web browser can accessed staff classrooms. (getting work come later)

seem have set ok far. wanting control pi remote since hidden near staffroom screen attached.
seems have gone after lot of reading around.

have install tightvnc on pi , have starting on boot following this:

when connect vnc server can see desktop run programs etc, can see on laptop screen not happening on screen attached pi. while handy later can try other things while pi sits , displays webpage have created webplus has message book.

@ moment wanting see on laptop happens on pi screen well. seems happen default when connecting vnc within windows. guessing down users?

haven’t tested myself can tell problem you’re having because you’re running 2 different x windows sessions. 1 running on pi , hosted tight vnc server process. presume want make shared network display, can remote control students watching you’re doing on screen?

anyway, have idea try. make 1 small change guide you’ve been following. change :1 :0.

when connect vnc viwer program, put ip address of pi followed :0 , see if works.
example; 192.168.0.5:0

Crossfader Arduino Tutorial

hello i'm super newb please don't bash me much. i'm using led's , i've connected them correctly (finally) , wondering why program here ( http://www.arduino.cc/en/tutorial/colorcrossfader ) doesn't work? say's haven't declared crossfade. read directions on top , said crossfade needs used list order of colors. isn't declared in main part (void loop() )? or need declared before? nevermind void on bottom , needed before voidloop. lol anyways playing rgb led's wondering if has specific way of making them fade in , out different colors?
