Captivate hangs after certain animations
i have been putting captivate 2 through rigorous testing 3 weeks.
problem #1: multiple times after inserting animation or auto recording movement of window captivate file edit view etc. main menus drop down , without time make choice. navigation bars move, snap original position unless use navigation arrows. can still save project clicking on save icon, must use exit arrow or understant alt f c or alt f x key commands close project , exit application. scary novice user.
problem #2: when recording in prt scr mode application refuses record screen if not press prt scr. clicking other applications on window task bar unlocks loop, must press end key , start recording again key function work correctly.
i have not lost , test work, have been forced exit captivate, wait several seconds , restart captivate these behaviors stop.
whats up?
vbtester
vbtester, haven't made problem easy see. #1 might saying during recording, background captures want, not being captured during auto-record ... i'm guessing because somewhere in there referring old-style keyboard commands close window (alt+f+c , on) ... , haven't clue how figures problem.
if missing screen captures need, try used using manual capture auto-record feature. watch getting (the icon flash red on system bar each time screen shot taken) , if captivate didn't shot yoyu need, press "prtscr" key manually it.
your issue #2 sounds doing suggested #1 , reason "prtscr" key isn't working properly. if problem, 1 of 2 things:
either change manual record key else (options > recording options > change recording keys (tab) , see if helps, or ...
go start > run > (type) "msconfig" open startup options dialog. possible application starting windows, , holding "prtscr" key hostage. disable application , reboot try again captivate.
any of helpful? if not, might have misunderstood problems, perhaps restate them in more descriptive step-by-step format?? thanks!
