Thread: VW Access in 9.04 (Jaunty?)

i have verizon wireless mobile broadband, , works vz access manager installed. vz access manager software in usb modem use, convenient , works wonderfully... windows. have ubuntu 9.04, think jaunty jackalope. how can install vz access manager in ubuntu?

or, alternatively, there other suggestions on how can internet work without vz access manager? programs designed ubuntu or linux can use instead?

used ubuntu before got type of internet service, , had re-install windows on computer needed able access internet school... thing keeping me going using linux 100% of time...

thanks!

you have 2 options, , really, one.

first option install wine , use install vz access manager. checked codeweavers application compatibility db , program wasn't listed. so, it's either not install, or if install, not work.

leads other option -- virtualization. can use virtualbox install ms windows inside ubuntu. then, have install entire os internet access, , that's lot of work little reward.
