regulating voltage across arduino pins/ladyada motor shield pins
hi all,
i'm running 2 12v 0.3a stepper motors off of ladyada motor shield plugged arduino uno. motors rated @ 0.3 amps each, they're pulling 1.0 amps each. i'm worried h-bridges blow, they've been doing alright far (about 2 months of testing, on , off). there way regulate current going pins? theories why motors drawing much?
thanks all!

what motors? what's winding resistance? carrying more rated current not idea stepper motors, close thermal maximum @ full rated current.
