Correct Relay Selection?

hey forum,

i'm setting 20 leds in series , powering circuit using 12v battery. attempting use mega2560 signal relay control lights turning on , off i'm not sure power specs need when selecting correct relay.

each led has vdrop of 2.4v , wired in series 40 ohm 5w resistor.

did measure voltage single led 40 ohm resistor on 12v battery? if each led drops 2.4v 20 of them in series 48v. tell more. answer question might mosfet, no need relay.

Crossfader Arduino Tutorial

hello i'm super newb please don't bash me much. i'm using led's , i've connected them correctly (finally) , wondering why program here ( http://www.arduino.cc/en/tutorial/colorcrossfader ) doesn't work? say's haven't declared crossfade. read directions on top , said crossfade needs used list order of colors. isn't declared in main part (void loop() )? or need declared before? nevermind void on bottom , needed before voidloop. lol anyways playing rgb led's wondering if has specific way of making them fade in , out different colors?
