Viewstack oddities

i don't know if has experienced following, after hours of breaking brain on problem found following:

it seems nested objects in viewstack cannot addressed id. not referencing them {name}.id in code, not using getchildbyname. nested objects don't seem exist. compiler doesn't complain, running app results in nothing happening (and since develop using sdk on linux, have no errors can check). move nested object outside viewstack container, works charm again.

so i'm working on removing viewstacks app (which sucks bad, deadline need keep sucks worse) love hear if other people have stumbled upon problem too. , love know if classified "a feature" or "a bug".

are aware viewstack , several other containers use "deferred instantiation" default? means child views of viewstack not exist until user clicks view them. cannot access child of viewstack until has been viewed.

the fast fix set creationpolicy="all" on viewstack. has negative impact on start-up performance of application, since every control must renderer before user can interact app.

the correct solution craft application not attempt address child components directly "outside", rather use binding , event-driven logic fetch data when child viewed.

if not issue never-mind.
