Thread: Synaptics touchpad issue

my pointer erratic . . . on place, , shaky of time.

i've installed qsynaptics, gsynaptics, , of course have "mouse" settings in system>preferences menu.

none of settings i've tried in programs (and mind boggles @ iterations) calms pointer down except disable tapping in qsynaptics.

doing everytime want type , not have text roam because palm had touched pad bothersome , annoying , seems tedious workaround.

can't find setting both calm pointer down , reduce roaming because of random palm touches.

and, yes, i've tried delay setting touches , doesn't (both
qsynaptics and gsynaptics have this).

so, there way can calm pointer down , still have tapping activated?

in alternative, if have live workaround, there way can set
hotkey so can toggle mouse state , forth keyboard instead of tediously going terminal , running qsynaptics every time?

to stop pointer moving if accidentally touch touchpad when typing go system > preferences > startup applications. add entry

code:
command: syndaemon -d -t -i 1
put whatever in name , comment fields.

number @ end of command number of seconds want touchpad disabled after each keystroke. change whatever like.
