RGB Led, School-project, need help!

hi everyone!

could use small project me & friend doing, shall finished tomorrow  :smiley-sad-blue:

in short want make rgb-led flash in random colors, approx 9 different, , make led stop randomizing when button pressed.

we need on/off switch, preferably simple button in lack of hardware...

so whole process should be;

1. turn on (button 1)
2. press (button 2) make led light random colors
3. press (button 2) again led fix color
4. press (button 2) make led start randomizing again...
5. turn off

you point.  , way, don't want fading between colors.

we have tried ¨hacking¨ code, can't buttons work intended.


check fritz-file see how wired up. feel free make changes if sucks.

Crossfader Arduino Tutorial

hello i'm super newb please don't bash me much. i'm using led's , i've connected them correctly (finally) , wondering why program here ( http://www.arduino.cc/en/tutorial/colorcrossfader ) doesn't work? say's haven't declared crossfade. read directions on top , said crossfade needs used list order of colors. isn't declared in main part (void loop() )? or need declared before? nevermind void on bottom , needed before voidloop. lol anyways playing rgb led's wondering if has specific way of making them fade in , out different colors?
