send holding current to stepper without stepper motion?
hi all, i'm running 2 small 12v 0.4amp stepper motors off of arduino uno , ladyada mshield. when feed step commands motors, initial position inconsistent, subsequent commands on target. motors not overheating , other motors in system not experiencing same problems, don't think code issue. has experienced similar problems small steppers?
i'm thinking since motors experiencing problems when first charged up, problem worked around telling motors begin drawing holding torque current without telling steppers move. way, charged initial inconsistency problem avoided since aren't moving during initial command. possible stepper motor?
any input/advice appreciated!

also, encounter problem regardless of motor's set speed.
