Thread: switching over from windows to linux all the way

i'm wondering running on ubuntu. how long did take switch way ubuntu windows?as in first time start using ubuntu. game alot , i've noticed it's not possible run windows games on linux; ie: arma2. need windows cuz i'm doing windows course work while linux hobby, figured can use vmware, won't of problem. right i'll stick dual boot, until i'm familiar enough linux , how around linux , how can things done right or figured out right.

gaming isn't important .. it's bad habit used play games , switching ubuntu painful because of fact wasn't able play "anything". few times installed windows "have fun" , took 2-3 months catch idea .. don't need them
while don't feel same ( don't need of these ms applications, games waste of time, etc. ), don't use 1 , os - leave on dual-boot.

Prezzemolo!

era da un po' di tempo che avevo in mente di creare una piattaforma "tiny" multiuso che impiegasse un attiny...ed è nato "prezzemolo". condivido il mio lavoro beneficio di quanti ne possano essere interessati. beh non ho di certo inventato niente di nuovo, si tratta di una piccola piattaforma basata sul microcontrollore attiny85 che consente, opportunamente programmata, di svolgere operazioni di controllo che prevedano l'accensione di un utilizzatore.  il punto essenziale di prezzemolo è che esso, grazie alle sue ridotte dimensioni (solo 50x37mm), può trovare agevolmente collocazione praticamente dappertutto, ad esempio all'interno di una cassetta di derivazione presente nell'impianto elettrico e di conseguenza può essere la giusta soluzione in tutte quelle occasioni nelle quali si prevede l'azionamento di un dispositivo funzionante rete 230v (max 1000w) secondo una logica controllata. ecco una foto del prototipo. dopo un accurato colla...
