Thread: can't change font rendering to Subpixel smoothing


hi!

have ubuntu jaunty, , installed kde 4.3 rc2. after fonts went ugly, skinny.

tried change qt3 , qt4 setting, no change, removed every kde package , rested gnome factory settings , nothing.

trided change font rendering subpixel smoothing -> full in gnome-appearance-properties can not. attaching picture:

can make fonts nice before?

copy , paste text above text file, , save in home directory .fonts.conf (note first period, file hidden). log out changes take effect.
