Thread: Protocol to mount fat32 filesystem over network with locking facility
i have fat32 filesystem sitting on nas storage device (nslu2) need mount on ubuntu system. i've tried samba , nfs mounts, both don't seem support proper locking. more specifically, unable save files mounted drive through gnucash, keepassx etc, makes share useless.
there protocol allows me achieve ? note nas storage device running linux os can run pretty protocol has linux implementation.
option i'm not looking reformat partition ext3, i'm not able due other constraints.
alternatively, has managed proper locking of fat32 system on network using samba ?
