Advice needed for DF-Bluetooth V3 connection for a car OBDII scantool prototype

hi all,

i'm building prototype hardware interface extract data car's engine control unit, store it, process , transmit remote device via bluetooth. currently, i've got basics of of prototype working except bluetooth module.

i bought df-bluetooth v3 module. while have managed pair laptop bluetooth module, can't establish connection between them. in fact, option connect isn't available in devices folder of windows-os laptop. microcontroller using atmega328p. i've attempted connection when atmega328p sitting in arduino uno , when used on breadboard (with required crystal, capacitors, gnd , vcc supplied) both methods failed.

car has experience bluetooth kindly advise on how establish bluetooth connection please?  :)
thank you.
