image , 6 wires strange colors image

pm42l-048-epa0 stepper motor epson fx-1170 printer. want connect uln2803 , control throu rpi.

tried following tut http://learn.adafruit.com/adafruits-ras ... rs/uln2803

are absolutely sure know of 6 wires which? colour codes unlikely same link showed. can try testing stepper connecting 9v battery (or safe dc supply) stepper's wires, directly, 2 wires @ time , see if moves step.

after that, make sure circuit working - it's connected right, etc. how connecting stepper it?

note when connecting, uln style chips have open collector output - means connect output wire 1 of 4 coils, "centre" stepper wire 12v (or whatever) supply, not earth. (sorry if i'm telling knew!)

Crossfader Arduino Tutorial

hello i'm super newb please don't bash me much. i'm using led's , i've connected them correctly (finally) , wondering why program here ( http://www.arduino.cc/en/tutorial/colorcrossfader ) doesn't work? say's haven't declared crossfade. read directions on top , said crossfade needs used list order of colors. isn't declared in main part (void loop() )? or need declared before? nevermind void on bottom , needed before voidloop. lol anyways playing rgb led's wondering if has specific way of making them fade in , out different colors?
