403 error front & back, blank pages elsewhere - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support
alright, i'm noob .... , i'm tard & might such occasion. i've searched forums on hour i'm posting.
first off, although don't find joomla noob friendly think kick arse cms great exts/mods/components , great community. plan on sticking it. i'm working way through learning curve have hit wall.
os: linux a
php: 4.4.2
mysql: 4.0.25-standard
i have installed 1.08 using fantastico on 2 domains no prob , have basic sites running on each - www.cancompute.com& www.quinteclassifieds.com
now trying install 3rd on same server , 403 errors regardless of side of site try log into. it's creating htaccess file i've tried several things with, including deleting it, no avail. it's located @ [url=http://www.quintec21.com]www.quintec21.com

accessing php on site writing out full path names gives 403 , if try directly access html pages, pages instance, blank page.
i've uninstalled , reinstalled several times including installing on several other domains have, same result. installed couple of other cms's out of curiosity , worked fine.
this strikes me simple, pointers?

it can denied in few ways:
i have seen error when trying access site on wrong port, and/or if domain isn't set correctly.
.htaccess - if can view .htaccess file may find clue in there
file/folder permissions - try escalating permissions (on parent folder and/or index.php file until works.
if have enabled sef urls not copied url rewriting instructions htaccess.txt file distributed joomla.
