how to organize content with searchable attributes? - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

i organize content (tutorial pages) searchable/catagorizable attributes:

app: (ace | geom | view)
type: (tutorial | demo | validation)
modules: (flow | heat | turb) -  (can multiple)
industry: (aerospace | automotive | semiconductor)
application: (external flow | internal flow | acoustics)

then should able show content (tutorials) industry=aerospace example.

the closest thing able find "recipe" components. can make analogies like:

app <-> cuisine
type <-> cooking method
modules <-> main ingredient
industry <-> course/dish
application <-> considerations

see http://www.justtherecipe.com example of site uses rapidrecipe component.

i'm wondering if there else out there fit bill before try hack 1 of these recipe components up?
it seems many others interested in.  figure must have been developed don't know (i'm new joomla - installed yesterday!)

please point me in right direction.

thanks in advance,
richard
