Creating "Party Lights" - LED Brightness?
hello, i'm working on project create "party lights" garage sync music playing on computer. used various tutorials online guide , happy managed prototype working.
it has 6 leds (details here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/b004uzdkrg) make finished (larger) product. thing troubles me ability light "fill room." leds bright when looked @ directly, fall short of lighting rest of room.
is due fact leds directional? can ensure optimum brightness , and make light "fill room?" need increase number of leds to, say, 20? or need consider using besides leds?
thanks in advance.

the brightness of led function of how current putting through led. arduino capable of supplying 25ma per led. if varying brightness, actual current less that, because pin off portion of time.
you can have arduino pin control transistor, instead, , have transistor control high current led. there 6 many have on @ once.
having leds source of light in room, , triggered music not great idea, in old fart's opinion.
