Thread: How do i edit the OS list on GRUB?

hi
installed ubuntu 9.04 in laptop partition created automatically small it.
drive being shared windows, re-installed ubuntu, time manually creating partition.
ok except fact @ bootup 2 instances of ubuntu listed (the old install , new one) plus windows @ end.
know in windows when happens can edit boot.ini file , delete 1 of instances, not know if possible in ubuntu?
again not that's creating problems per se, wouldn't mind editing keep simpler.
thanks!

i believe /boot/grub/menu.lst file corresponding boot.ini. (you'll have open using sudo.)

if you've played boot.ini before, might able figure out need in menu.lst. i've played little , don't want give instructions, in case i'm wrong...

hope helps (:
