Thread: Printing on the command-line


hey peoples.

i've got usb printer default printer in preferences , administration.

if type

code:
lpstat -a
i printer details. can tell me default printer details kept? i've made printer available system-wide (in system-administration). i'm familiar solaris configuration default printer kept in .printer file in user's home directory, file dne in mine.

while i'm here, how can format html, doc or openoffice documents print on command line? can use:

code:
lp myfile.doc
and expect print? i've printed 30 blank pages , torn 2 testing lp , lpr print commands...

lpr document.
