wi-fi adapter

level shifter output gpio pins @ 5v instead of 3.3v

12v power supply motors , pi
http://www.adafruit.com/products/352
, here little concerned... found item, , ordered them before realizing couldn't make adafruit order yet:
2 of these units operate peristaltic pumps @ 12v pi's stepped gpio's
http://www.futurlec.com/dc_opto_output_4.shtml
goal create similar bartendo http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/par ... sing-robot.
more interested on focusing on martini's though. essential ingredients list smaller, doesn't involve carbonated beverages (peristaltic pumps can't carbonated beverages easily) there more booze involved (yay), , feel can make in more compact package. 1 major challenge me cool liquid streams before hit glass because want away hand shaker. however, if people want use hand shaker, pre-cooled liquids still thing because melt less of ice in shaker resulting in cleaner tasting martini (unless love water ice cubes).
don't bartendo concept (cocktails), , pumps cost $130 apiece, making 8 channel machine prohibitively expensive. rather chance on cheap pumps, , replace them if need to. pi opto isolated motors, don't have many electrical worries.
motors rated 300ma @ 12v, 8 should maxing @ 2.4a. expect happen regularly when priming system, , when cleaning soap solution. rpi plus wifi should not push me above 3a @ given time, feel 12v 5a supply should more enough. understand there instantaneous effect when motors started current draw high short period of time. if careful in programming, can lag motor starts when need run more 1 avoid having phenomena becoming problem.
trying ahold of 1/8" stainless pipe , create cooling coils can put in bucket of ice water. make bucket pretty, opaque, , hide coils inside. looked peltier thermoelectric coolers, power requirements high, , time liquid spends being dispensed small. didn't viable option, , have introduced additional complexity electrical side of things.
i'm hoping can implement webserver based drink ordering app bartendo crew have done, because rather slick.
part of reasons want not because think hardware complex, because haven't set web server in long time, , in case, have separate application running in background done in python or c (whichever can give me more accurate liquid dispensing control). interfacing 2 new me, , give me chance design web pages designed tablet use haven't done.
if has thoughts/experiences share, great.
is, getting , testing boards futurlec relatively soon, , decide whether or not proceed based on characteristics.
