hi all, i'm having strange problem raspbmc install. when try stream or download anything, entire network / internet connection seems ground halt. have fibre broadband connection, bandwidth isn't issue. seems cause problem? youtube streaming continuously buffering , failing, airplay iphone / ipad buffers , failing too. get's point need pull plug on pi free up. remote stops working when these symptoms. thoughts? thanks chris you try running wireshark on 1 of computers in same lan try see going on. raspberrypi

i'm wondering, what's purpose existence of netbook? @ first, thought ultra low cost pc's made primary purpose of browsing internet , reading email. but, after doing bit of looking around, no cheaper full fledged laptops- ultra portability 10" screens draw them? i'd horribly annoyed trying view lot of pages on 1024 x 600 display anyway... checked specs on one- http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82e16834152093 (selected random) , compared laptop on sale @ walmart same exact price- wallyworld laptop had 15.6" display, 3gb ram, 2.x ghz (might have been dual core, don't remember exactly), 250gig hdd, running vista... missing something? bm portability?
